Linguistics and Grammar Teaching

MICHALIS GEORGIAFENTIS

Michalis Georgiafentis was born in Chios. He is Associate Professor of Linguistics in the Department of English Language and Literature at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which he also graduated (Language–Linguistics specialisation). He completed his postgraduate studies (Master’s and PhD in Linguistics) at the University of Reading, UK. His research interests focus on the following areas: Theoretical Linguistics, Syntax of English and Greek, variation in word order, phenomena of focus and information structure, and the teaching of Grammar. He is a member of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of the School of Philosophy “Linguistics and the Teaching of Grammar.”
