Linguistics and Grammar Teaching

DESPINA PAPADOPOULOU

Despina Papadopoulou is Professor of Linguistics at the Department of Linguistics, School of Philology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her teaching and research interests include psycholinguistics, language processing, bilingualism and multilingualism, language acquisition, and second language learning and teaching. She has participated in and coordinated numerous national and European projects focusing on multilingual education, migrant learners, and teacher professional development. Her recent work examines multilingual approaches to language teaching, including pedagogical translanguaging and linguistically responsive pedagogy, and their role in fostering inclusion and academic success in diverse classrooms. She is actively involved in teacher education and international collaborations promoting multilingualism and linguistic diversity in education.
